Peranakan Mansion, Penang

This will be my second time visiting Peranakan Mansion in Penang. It was different than the first as I did not visit the entire place previously. So now is my time to revisit and complete the mansion exploration.

It's very colorful and rich in history as you walk along the houses. We were lucky to be around the corner just when a FREE English speaking guided tour was going on. We joined after a friend of mine who happened to be there that day ( who is also a manager at Fig Tree Hill Resort ) suggested us to do so. We learned a lot about the history of the place and how it connects back in the days.

From the history to the personal lives of the Baba and Nyonya was well explained in detail by the guide. Some areas are with air conditioning whereas some are not. We were happily enjoying the cooler side of it since it was a hot day in Penang, as it always is.

There're even souvenir shops within the mansion to get you excited buying some gifts. Not forgetting a restaurant if you're hungry. Don't miss out on Peranakan Mansion when you're in Penang.
